In case you're using Firefox on mobile - so myself and like four others - disabling Firefox' new Facebook data collection feature is quite a bit harder than on desktop, but it can be done:Go to chrome://geckoview/content/config.xhtmlUse the search field to find the entry for aboutConfig and enable itGo to about:configSearch for dom.private-attribution.submission.enabled and set it to falseDone. This only works on Android, because Firefox on iOS is just a Safari skin.

@thomholwerda Or just use Mull.This is a privacy oriented and deblobbed web browser based on Mozilla technology. It enables many features upstreamed by the Tor Uplift project using preferences from the arkenfox-user.js project. It is recommended to install 'uBlock Origin'.

@Jessica @thomholwerda Is that the case? Haven't experienced any crash to date. Perhaps because I turn off notifications on all sites and apps? Hate it.

@Deus@charcha.cc @thomholwerda@exquisite.social it's not crashing, it's websites being slow or unresponsive, because you have to use dark reader to get dark mode, and dark mode slows mull to a crawl there's not winning with that browser

@Deus@charcha.cc @thomholwerda@exquisite.social and if you want dark mode to transfer from your phone to the websites, you need to disable resistfingerprinting, which defeats the entire point of using mull to begin with, which means fennec is a better choice, but then there's still the notification thing being broken. I'd assume they could work on a workaround because some websites still function like akkoma, but not things like misskey or sharkey because they don't see that the browser is even capable of receiving notifications

@Deus@charcha.cc @thomholwerda@exquisite.social I just use the browser, if a browser doesn't fit my needs then I don't use it. I've tried at least a dosen browsers over the years and I only have a few of them I actually stick to using. right now I'm using firefox and ungoogled chromium if I need chromium.
