@prettygood computer stuff :Di could finally also decide to just setup NeoMutt in POP3 so I don't need shitty webmail on cock.li but that would require not procrastinating

@DigitalCheese man, POP3, that takes me back. I should make a serious attempt to learn and use mutt/neomutt at some point, but Evolution is so damned good (and I rely on a lot of its features) so it would require some extra software.

@prettygood POP3 is just very interesting to me, I simply connect and download all the messages instantly going right back offline. I know I could use Luke Smith's offline IMAP4 thingy, but I find it rather annoying and pointless. The only advantage is that emails which end up in spam don't have to be checked via cock.li webmail if I want to manage them, but otherwise it is purely better for me to use POP3 since by default it's offline and it's way less complicated.I actually would go as far as to say that I wish i could disable having any spam-filter on my email. This is because of the fact that proper management of your email is going to work out far better for you than hoping a spam filter catches actual spam, which usually doesn't happen. If everything just went to the inbox, and I could figure out an automatic way to do so, I could just make it so mail by default will go into specific folders and then later on I can respond to those messages however I want. The folders I will have are somewhat like the following:- Inbox, Outbox, Drafts, Trash- Archives, LULz- IRL, Online, Groups- Mailing Lists- Site NotificationsIRL is for IRL frens, online is for online frens ofc. Groups are for multi-user emails which aren't dedicated mailing-lists, but they aren't to be seperated.Mailing lists are to be split folders per list, site-notifications are to be split folders per site. This is to prevent chaos, which is obvious. The LULz folder is for spam mail to be stored permanently in, the Archives folder isn't exactly detailed but for now its random stuff which doesn't fit any other section (i may split up the folder more in the future, however).Everything here is meant to have an actual purpose, which works. Proper sorting of all emails will make everything work in due time. I'm not sure if NeoMutt has a tag system similar to Thunderbird and other email clients, however, if they happen to have something like that, I will gladly be using it due to the fact that it would severely help me out LMAO. Tag systems would allow me to split things out even more without creating folders which would be nice, and perhaps if it has color-codes it'll be cool too.
