@foone I feel like people of a certain age remember memory stick as the thing you were forced to buy for the PSP since Sony simply cannot resist making more proprietary formats

@foone Funny you should mention Betamax as just yesterday we went thrifting and I found a hefty ol' Beta player.I have nothing to play on it nor a TV to connect to it so I left it.

@foone Sony created so many fantastic technologies (MiniDisc/ATRAC3 😍), but killed them at the same time by making sure noone else would ever use them.
