I'm not an American, never even been there but I do care. A lotIt kinda feels like I have to since the fascist just aren't playing fair in any wayThe people standing up against this will not and cannot sink to their level so they should get all the help they can get I think❤️

@stux yeah. The problem is that the US have a shit load of influence in the world. Even if I didn't care their march towards fascism still will affect me.

@stux The thint about not sinking to the level of the other side is that taking the high road and doing the right thing always ensures a loss.Obama and Biden’s efficacy was devastated becayse they fooolishly still believe in bipartisanship and a set of rules the other side hasnt played by in at least 20 years.Its really demoralizing to suffer so many losses because the dems dont fight dirty enough.We’re f*cked.

@stux this also isn’t just an American issue right now. We are just the loudest (and orangest). Our trends are trends shared with other democracies (see France, UK, Canada, Australia, etc which have all been struggling with extreme right parties) and failing democracies (see India). To the extent I wax conspiratorial, these folks are unabashedly meeting publicly and hugging each other. We are in this together as a global challenge.

I constantly worry that the rest of the world will decide too many Americans are like Donald Trump and his ilk, and stop believing that many of us here in the States firmly reject right wing fascism.Also, you’re probably not safe if fascism takes over here. History teaches us that fascism rarely stays within its own borders.

@stux Thank you. Support is much appreciated. I ponder more often lately that America's allies must be following the election year with deepening concern. No one thought, 50 years ago, that a surging subset of Americans would threaten global democracy, stability, freedom. But here we are.Democrats aren't perfect (who is?), but overall they do more good, more ethically, than the plutocratic, fascist-loving GOP. A Democratic electoral sweep is a win for global peace and democracy.
