@MidnightRider Reminds me of JFK's horse at his funeral procession. Feisty animals, with a mind of their own.I had a pony, once, who would walk under low hanging branches to knock you off the saddle. They can be ornery and definitely are smart.

@MidnightRider She really was. Like a dog, when my grandfather drove up, she would race over to greet him. He often had an apple or some kind of treat.I took her around the neighborhood and sold rides for 10 cents.

@MidnightRider That's a shame. I can't believe how much inflation is. I used to get 5 or 6 full size candy bars for 25 cents. I remember getting a chipped ham sandwich with lettuce, tomatoes and mayo from the corner restaurant for 25 cents.50 cents was a small fortune and coins were silver and copper.
