It has come to my attention that subscribestar has possibly shut down our funding page after someone notified me that their auto-renewal support was cancelled yesterday. It could be in error because I can still log-in and the person that let me know of this occurrence said they were able to renew again their subscription. If you support baraag on subscribestar, can you check to see if it possible for you to renew your subscription?https://subscribestar.adult/baraag

@satori I'm thinking this was local to that user. My subscription was not cancelled (I in fact have the receipt email from June 1st and the charge to my card). It still has the next renewal scheduled.

@satori ok so either this is an error of them or they did cancel your page they been known for cancelling pages that dont do art and are support for other pages so asking them is gonna be hard because they could cancel it if they see no art check your email normally before banning someone they sent a msg. but the weird part is i can still renew it normally when is banned it wont let me do that. so i dont know if its banned

@satori Dead link for me too. I have recently seen some creators wander to https://boosty.to/ after the recent Visa/MasterCard disaster on multiple known platforms and Patreon ToS changes. It could be a possible alternative? I never registered myself (yet), so no clue how their payment system works and what is supported.

@satori If they didn't send you an email saying anything bad, it's likely a technical error. Abusive as those platforms are they at least make it clear if they ban someone, even when they're so lowly they won't even say why since somehow that's a thing.

@satori it's an usual problem with SS.Because of where their servers are located a lot of banks flag the transaction as potentially fraudulent. I have called my bank few times about it and it still happens from time to time. Usually after 3 months of last failed transfer. So to "fix" the failed payment you just have to confirm with your bank that the transaction is genuine. Either by sms or call.

@satori This error has happened before with fimfiction. Not cancelling per-se, but it wouldn't charge them for certain people, so it is probably another glitch of the same avenue.

A week has passed since first emailing subscribestar support and they still have not replied to me. Here is an update based on what I can gather.The main page cannot be publicly accessed. But this link seems to work: https://subscribestar.adult/baraag/subscribeOnly previous subscribers can renew/extend their support. Any new patrons attempting to subscribe will have their card declined.With substar’s support for baraag becoming seemingly deprecated for future subscribers, I will test alternatives.

@satori Ridiculous to me that I've been trying for years to get a hold of them with no luck and apparently it isn't any better once you're actually approved and bringing revenue in. Extremely frustrating is an understatement. Hope you're able to get things worked out eventually or at least find alternative ways for users to support. Baraag deserves it.

@satori I know it would be difficult to program and implement, but what if you had a 'sponsorship' program like twitter where you take a percentage to run the site?I know credit cards would be hard to work with, but maybe there's a crypto solution.
