@stux Sadly, I'm still paying on over $5000 for my daughter's ski injury last year, and $3000 for my bike injury this year. Living is expensive these days. :(

@stux Ooof.Have you moved to the US?Or is that a "normal" bill in the Netherlands?(In Germany we have to pay 10€ per day in hospital; nothing for seeing our GP or a specialist in their surgery.)

@stux Hi Stux, mag ik uit je post afleiden dat je hebt gekozen voor een hoger eigen risico , zodat je in ruil daarvoor een lagere premie betaalt? Of is er iets anders aan de hand?

@hermatenseldam klopt! Ik ben de afgelopen (minimaal) 5 jaar niet naar de dokter / zikenhuis geweest echter mijn premie is nog steeds pff..

@stux Ik vind ons stelsel voor ziektekostenverzekeringen ruk. Niemand wordt voor z’n plezier ziek en niet iedereen kan de kosten voor een verzekering opbrengen. Ik kan me de premies wel goed veroorloven en ondanks dat ik nooit of nauwelijks ziektekosten heb, heb ik niet gekozen voor een hoger eigen risico en daarmee een lagere premie. Ik geloof sterk in solidariteit: de sterkste schouders dragen de zwaarste lasten. 1/4
