I've read about how people want a strong man to be their dictator but I never really thought that people really did want that. Just some scary man who tells you what to do? I guess some people really do long for a boot on the neck. *I'm so aghast*

@futurebird And he won’t be blamed for anything bad that happens to people. The public that supported Hitler and Stalin both blamed any problems in those countries on the ‘bad’ people who surrounded those dictators but not the dictators themselves.

@futurebird if the guy is funny, they will laugh and cheer while pinned against the floor. They will look at the ones suffering with the boot on their neck and be so happy. Resentment is a powerful driver.
