       devil’s advocate but you gotta compare high tide to high tide or low tide to low tide, and we don’t know if this pic is high or low tide.In Roman times this is probably how high tide looks (would you really want it totally underwater during high tide?) but we don’t even know that for sure, although that information is probably out there.

       @ademan @PNS The real stupid thing is that they bothered to make those baths in the first place when they could have simply just walked a few feet and been in the water anyway.
