@tomcat @Wormwood @graf Well, *someone's* plan. How popular a plan that is inside the party, I don't know, but there's always some amount of division. Like, after the Bernie shit happening twice in a row and the party deciding not to allow a primary, I have trouble imagining that they'd think it was a good idea to yell "SURPRISE!" during the convention and pick someone else. All these people staking their credibility on Biden being definitely not senile are gonna have an awkward time.

Even though it was obvious he was already in decline during his first election. Now they're in an incredibly awkward situation where the public saw how terrible he was last night, and they won't be able to spin it as an AI fake like his press secretary was saying about other videos of him fucking up.Now they're in a situation where they're going to have to either bet everything on the Retard in Chief or try to switch him out in some kind of convoluted scheme at the DNC strategic level. The problem with this swapping approach is this close to the election it's going to make them look weak, unstable, and unorganized. Trump will definitely be able to capitalize on that, although I'm not sure if that's a big bump in votes for him or not. Kamala Harris is such a wet fart as candidates go there's no fucking way they're going to back her, so the continuity of the Biden brand that she's a part of is completely broken. That's going to create a lot of unknowns and doubts in the minds of voters if they get someone new thrown at them close to the election.That means they will have to go for a completely different candidate and spend crazy amounts of money trying to bootstrap them for the election outside of regular campain costs. It's going to be interesting to see which choice they're going to make. I'm seriously leaning towards them being fucked either way.
