Democrats catastrophize, Democrats listen to their opposition and take their concerns seriously, Democrats take criticism (from the right, not from the left) seriously and adjust and respond (this would be a good trait were it more balanced.)Stop it. @gnomekat Yeah. It's a worry. And even if Biden wins, if it is close we will see another effort to steal it like four years ago. There are two things I've been doing to address this:1. Reaching out to people I know personally and letting them know how important it is to me that they vote, and how worried I am. Making it personal. 2. Reconnecting with my local networks for community organizing so, in the event it goes bad I can help people who will need my help.

@gnomekat It makes me angry centrist Democrats put people at risk like this. Ruth B. Ginsburg was too pure to retire with political expediency. Biden lets the people around him convince him it is prudent (and not reckless) to stay in game too long. All the mistakes the same people who love to blame the most vulnerable people for their own political failures have made. It makes me angry. But, I cannot afford to revel in anger. I must do what is required to survive.

@maggiejk @botahamec I think you are making this about the individual guy rather that what will and won’t happen depending on who is in power. There is no way to make Biden’s health an issue of equal significance to Trump policy. I don’t understand the fixation on the issue to be honest. In the past you were critical of Biden’s foreign policies which I take seriously and consider to be — worth discussing. This comment seems less so.

What really happened was pundits suggested he might say such a thing but he never did. Many people (like me) were left with that impression and blindsided when he didn’t pack up and leave — but the fact is *he* never said that.
