@Nazani @benroyce Nope, you're liable in that situation, AI or not. Free speech laws don't cover active harm or negligence. Speaking as a long time freelancer, before AI, it was blockchain. Before blockchain, it was video. Before video, it was "dynamic content" (i.e. keyword chasing.)And in the end what always happens is the promise goes unfulfilled and the company counting on it collapses.

I think courts will be more favourable of being lenient on big corporations for AI telling people to do deadly things. Google results have been telling ppl to do things that will kill them, and I've yet to hear about any successful legal action being taken against them for it - and it's only one such example of many

@benroyce As a worldwide society, we need to reject the production of AI documents. Those are the result of outright theft and plagiarism. Nothing AI produces is original, they are the result of LLM absorbing millions of documents, websites, and other materials that are copyright of their respective owners. "AI" or in most cases LLMs are not producing original works, they are producing facimiles of original works.

@benroyce @jwildeboer That's where it gets muddy though, because my inability to draw isn't a disability. However, my disability effects my income and ability to pay an actual artist to realize my creativity for me. Therefore, I have to use these cheaper options to express myself. However, I'm not making profit off what I make. I just like sharing my emotiions in the form of AI assisted art sometimes.

Whenever I've heard about automated systems going wrong in the past (not a lawyer) the question is always why didn't a human intervene? If content has obvious problems, that becomes even more pressing.
