I wonder if they know that some tropical ants use a form of kickboxing as ritual combat: Dinomyrmex gigas! one of the largest ants on earth!

Chen C. Lee has some good photos of gigas kickboxing. They make all of their four back legs as tall as possible and circle and tap each other with their antennae. If one ant isn't clearly "taller" then they start hitting each other with their front legs with their mandibles open. This can go on for hours. It's how adjacent colonies negotiate boundaries.
