@protonprivacy I know it might be complex to have encryption plus share. But I have a question, given that we can share files with other person means that our password is not needed to decrypt files. Does that mean that proton can know see our files on server side ? May I still consider my filed encrypted and secured on proton drive ?

@protonprivacy Good, thanks! Beware of the access rights rabbit hole as you move forward. Google Drive is a good example of how not to do it. I have faith in you πŸ™‚

@protonprivacy I feel like your surveys are partly for confirmation that you did the right things, and then you turn those things on immediately after to be like "We did the thing!' πŸ€ͺ.

@protonprivacy A welcome addition! The last thing preventing me from using Proton as my main online backup, though, is the ability to set files as online-only, or download them just when needed, to save local disk space. Hope that's on the (near-term) roadmap!

@protonprivacy If Proton Drive had a feature to open files on both desktop and mobile using an "Open With" function, I might actually consider switching. However, as a Google Drive user, Proton Drive doesn't quite meet my needs yet, which is disappointing.I also which there were folders in the photo menu so that I could just straight up replace my gallery app with it, like a lot of people do with Google Photos (I don't but just saying.)

@protonprivacy Great to see progress on this.Is there anything blocking the implementation of granting this permission to anonymous users via share links?I recently needed to have a location to collect pictures for a group and would rather not give those to a known abuser.
