Periodic reminder that the software engineer making $250k/yr working 40 hours a week is not your enemy, his boss's boss's boss's boss the CEO making $25mil/yr working 15 hours plus some golf is. The techbro "founder" worth $250mil is. The hedge fund manager worth $2.5bil is.Don't let the ruling class tempt us into intra-class warfare. It's a deliberate distraction. The software engineer orders a lil too much DoorDash and has a lawn service. The hedge fund manager is funding efforts to deny health care to millions of people, perpetuate the genocide of Palestinians, and make queer and trans people's existence illegal in whole countries.Likewise, the software engineer needs to remember that the CEO and hedge fund manager are not his people, the manager of his favorite restaurant and the nurse at his dermatologist's office are.#PracticeSolidarity

Most importantly, our enemy is the corporate structure that grants the engineer 250k/yr at the cost of giving someone else 25 million dollars a year. The engineer should be enthusiastically willing to give up that salary, for a better system where we can all benefit more. So should the CEO. The hedge fund manager, too. He doesn't need 2.5 billion dollars. He should fix the system errantly funnelling all the money into his pocket. The reason that seems ridiculous, is the hedge fund manager doesn't want a better system. Neither does the CEO or the software engineer. Even the poorest in society will believe in this cancerous robbery, telling you it's the only way, or telling you that it's the immigrants who are to blame.Solidarity is a mutual relationship. We should join with the pauper, and the engineer, and the CEO, to take down this exploitive system that no one agreed to. It's they who refuse to join with us, and a well paid CEO is a hell of a lot more likely to stab us in the back before working with us, because that's the kind of person who the finance tyrants appoint as CEO. So I don't put a lot of effort into getting aid from people who are already heavily invested in the exploitation. It is possible though, just not very likely they'll be willing to stop screwing people over.
