Seriously, ok, you guys win, I’m going to do my best not to mention GNOME ever again – heck, I’d already stopped filing bugs because of this culture – because FFS, apparently you have to preface any criticism with “a thousand apologies, this lowly person who uses your amazing gift to humanity (peace be upon it) and was likely holding it wrong (silly me) might have a teeny tiny suggestion – not to doubt your infallibility, of course – so that perhaps someone else might not lose a day of work…“

@aral th you talking about, they said it is problem that they wanted to solve, a problem that they are trying to solve since a few years, everyone is trying to tell you that, and you don't want to listen, i don't think neither GNOME, KDE or MATE wants someone like you in their community

@aral Usually people who claim to care about free software report issues on bug trackers and with a polite tone, they don't shout at 43.5K people with a snarky tone. There's people behind this code, volunteers on their free time in this specific case actually, it doesn't come out of nowhere. Stop shiting on them, buy a stress ball, and check your privileges.

@dominick I don’t know, maybe… the only reason I get upset about GNOME is because it gets so much right but then there are some basic things that seem to be held back by some people who view any piece of feedback as a personal attack. Anyway, I’m just going to shut up about it now. Not my circus, not my monkeys.

@aral It is not only gnome or in the linux world. Similar situation I had not long ago with an popular chat application for android. I filled issue on github with a feature request about few important things for visually impaired people like dark theme, option to change messages text size, and so on. Things that are today an usability standard, an must-have. The answer was like: "Boo-hoo, what do you want sweetheart? You can use system wide magnification! F-off from us!". So.. well.. you know.
