@futurebird just for you, my friend. I’ve looked for you on Bluesky and Signal and tried every old email over the years… I am so SO glad you reached out. Comics Twitter tried Mastodon for about a minute, then moved to Bluesky, mostly. And then I got overwhelmed with keeping up socially and ignored everything/one for awhile.

@andreashock Sadly since it was made by nerds mostly for fun Mastodon has not been as user friendly or feature rich as may if needed to be to be huge— but there is a toe hold if something here worthwhile I think. And that can be grown. But whatever happens I’m not going to hud in one corner of the internet anymore. I don’t think we can afford to do that.

@futurebird The problems with Mastodon are not "user unfriendly" or "not feature rich", they go back further to a design that purposefully discourages global search, quote tooting, finding people, having a coherent idea of who has replied to a post etc. i.e. things that people want to do but were deemed to be bad.
