@lain @Mitsu I sometimes drink hot water with very sweet desserts instead of tea or coffee because the taste of the dessert overwhelms any beverage anyway and all I really need is something to wash the excess sticky sugary or syrupy stuff off my teeth.I still remember when I told someone this online for the first time and they immediately went "Are you Chinese?!?"

@Mitsu see, if you add lemon juice, brandy, star anise, cinnamon, and a tiny bit of clove to that, that's a decent pick-me-up for cold weather or sore throats.
