@jerry yeah, yikes. and in France, the right-wingers gained a lot of votes, 31% iirc which is double the ruling party's votes; because of the loss, Macron, French president, has recently called for the National Assembly to be dissolved; in other words, a snap parliamentary election to be held on 30th June.

@fuzzylinuxuser @jerry not sure you wanna look up the results of today's french election.We basically just gave half our Brussels seats to fascists, and got our national assembly (legislative body) dissolved immediately afterwards.All bets are off regarding what's gonna happen when we re-elect said assembly in a month, considering a lot can happen in the meantime in terms of political unions and such, but well ... doesn't smell good.

@toadjaune @jerry the fact that fascism and neo-nazism is gaining significant traction in EU is very much disappointing thing. i fear that the values that made up the EU, freedom, liberty, democracy, ... will be sidelined away and young&old people aren't taking it seriously enough.
