       The now-amusing slogan isn't even the best thing about this 1942 ad.Chichester Pills (which were sold in a small metal box) mention being useful for period pain.Their significant ingredient was pennyroyal - a herbal remedy long believed to be an abortifacient. (It can trigger an early abortion and can also be harmful.)
