I have really noticed a big surge in interest in Linux coming from people who did not care before.I guess the recall feature is driving people away

@selea yeah, recall was a dumb move though probs looked good before with the AI hype. Turns out people don't like being watched constantly by AI. I use ChatGPT and stuff daily for some questions and programming stuff, and I don't like the idea of AI just taking screenshots all the time...

@selea It might be preliminary, but from what I can gather it's going "deeper" than your average user - even that's just a temporary effect.But I have personally heard of one reasonably large IT-project (~5.000 devices) related to a Windows 11-upgrade at a company which would have involved getting entirely new hardware.And the executives are seriously thinking about just saying "fuck it" and buying Macbooks instead.
