       @BluRaf yea. im honestly just really sad that its this neglected... like... literally just add a captcha or some shit... make it more expensive to run bots than for people...i guarantee the tf2 community would welcome captchas with open arms instead of having to vote kick every single mechanator sniper bot

       @BluRaf hmmm ... that's probably fair. could make item drops rarer or only drop on official servers or thing... and also actually detect at least basic spin bottingbut yea you are right, valve would need to economically disincentivize them somehow

       @irth @BluRaf the point is to drive the cost of running bots up. it's a sort of proof of work. proof of work was made to combat email spam, doing a single small proof is fine but if ur doing it at scale it's expensive. AI stuff is not cheap.tho as someone else pointed out, it probably isn't as expensive as I'm thinking... but honestly I'd be happy with literally any measures to curtail this
