@Paulyfrog64 @Wormwood That picture has me now figuring out how I can create a device that will project that image onto someone's wall, and will fit unobtrusively under their bed set to activate after they go to sleep.I could base the detection circuit on this infamous little bastard (picrel):>"The Cricket" circuit. An old prank kit that has a simple light sensor, microphone, and piezo speaker. When you turn off the lights and stop making noise, it activates and waits a while, then starts making an intermittent chirping noise like a cricket. The second you make the slightest noise or turn on a light it stops, making it difficult to locate.Would be a good prank to hook this up to some kind of projector with a very low light level, that makes just one sound to wake a person up, then stops after a few seconds of them making a noise and never activates ever again, or not for a long time after. See if they can Scooby Doo that shit based on seeing it for a mere moment after being woken up.Could probably get a half decent image with only a single LED in dark room, use one that's red or blue, or some more subtle RGB colour. Set it to project a semi-undefined image.Edit: Actually thinking with two LEDs side by side you could fade them up at different times and give the brief illusion of motion and/or colour change. Like get one of them to fade up, with a rising sound, then switch off, then both on to create a brighter strobe effect, and double shadow, and then have second one quick-fade out. Just enough motion and variation to confuse a groggy brain about what the fuck it just saw.
