This might be the last straw for Microsoft. I can see a lot of already fed up people abandoning the software forever. I checked, and it was installed without my knowledge or permission on 05/16/2024. Luckily when I first heard inklings of this a few months ago I had already stopped updates on my desktop. It always breaks something when they do and I just never trust them. I used to wait until the day of to put update off another month, but Windows would always cause some program to mess up so I had to or would force a restart and update anyway. I wonder if I have to get Ubuntu again or actually just Linux.

I recommend Linux Mint. It's very user friendly especially for people migrating from Windows.

@gentoobro@gleasonator.com - I even set my 85 yo grandfather running mint and he is the least tech savvy person I've ever met.
