Starting today, it is required that baraag users mark explicit NSFW uploaded art as sensitive content. Failure to do so may result in all posts from your account being automatically marked as sensitive regardless if it is explicit or not.This is for liability reasons to ensure public viewers that aren’t logged into an account do not see adult content without first clicking through a warning that acknowledges agreement to our Terms of Service and being at least 18 years of age.

@furf it is only required for 3D rendered works featuring human loli/shota characters. As a courtesy to people that do not wish to see any 3D content at all and wish to filter it out in their settings, I do recommend broadly tagging all the same.

@satori I'm a bit confused. I thought:- this was already a rule (I already set my account to mark all posts as sensitive months ago) and- people without an account couldn't see any content hereI feel like my mind is playing tricks on me.

@flashre I realize that standards for what counts as NSFW may vary from one person to the next, especially depending on where one works. I would say if you feel like you wouldn’t expose a large printed poster of it to a child within the presence of a police officer in the bible belt region of America, than it would be better safe than sorry to mark it at sensitive content.I know this rule will annoy a lot users here, but I hope people understand it is to keep baraag safe from being shut down

@satori if it's about the site's ability to stay online I get it and don't really mind but if it's just a cover for bending over backwards as to remain off of misskey's shitlist again then lmao ok.either way, just make it on by default when posting. you'll save the moderation staff a ton of work.

@satori Thanks. I'm a bit disappointed that there's anger about this, it's very reasonable-content is not being censored, and people are not being punished for mistakes. I get that some people feel like they're a bit on the margins even here, but there's never going to be a site that's more on our side than Baraag is, treating every decision like it's adversarial because one does not agree with it is just immature and I hope people stop.Above all, this is best for the health of the federation.

@DrProletariat @satori we were asked to start marking sensitivity for federation, but it was not explicitly required. Non users can still go to the public timeline or even your profile if they know your username and see all public posts

@satori Another question but is it okay to just use #SFM as a tag or just include both that and #3D for here on out. I thought SFM and 3D tag were the same since SFM is a 3D program similar to Blender? Just wanted to some clarification.

@satori i have absolutely no problem with marking nsfw content as sensitive, in fact i do so since i had my first account, but sadly it seems there is a bit of a problem lately, so i need to clear some things up - WHAT exactly counts as nsfw? - does nsfw has to depict explicite content only (like sex or showing genitalia or nudity) or does this apply even to suggestive content, like a girl in bikini or light clothing, cuz i am really unsure where the line is... - sorry to bother you, koi...

@satori I have notice people rarely tag stuff. Even the basic ones like shota or loli. I think even basic tagging like that should be a thing since some people want to blacklist even the most basic tags, like what if I just wanna see mainly shota or loli, etc.
