@futurebird People are beautiful exactly the way they are. The line of a man's pectorals, the grace of the hip as he bends low to talk to his child, the sweep of a woman's skull, the grace of her hand, the turn of a nonbinary pal's ankle, or the curl of their hair, or the proud prow of their nose. "Beauty" magazines are unnecessary!

@thepoliticalcat I think some people have a lot of fun with make-up and that's great... but this feels like it's taking away "the no make up look" from the people without any makeup on for real. Why can't it just be "subtile makeup" ? that's fine... go nuts.

@Hicsumus Aging is cool actually. I'm a little frustrated that if my mom is anything to go on I won't ever have all white hair. But I do have a few precious grays.

@futurebird I don't like the fake looks they're pushing on women. It used to be women who didn't want to look tarted up opted for a simple, chic hairdo, a touch of lipstick, and a nice outfit. Nowadays, they've got YARDS of eyelashes, enough goop on their faces to require a metal scraper, and I wouldn't dare kiss a girl today unless she was fresh out of the shower.

@futurebird @thepoliticalcat My middle daughter had her purse stolen at high school. I took her straight to Walgreens and told her to pick up all the makeup and stuff she needed and not to worry about the price.That stuff is expensive! I had no idea!

@ehproque @Virginicus @thepoliticalcat I thought they were two different words with subtly different meanings. LOL. I thought subtile meant subdued, hard to notice while subtle implies a kind of deafness and concealment. But... they just seem to be the same word and one spelling is "deprecated" in the most recent release.
