Trump was fairly convicted of a felony. Many Republicans will still defend him. On the other hand, if the Clintons had committed similar crimes to cover one of Bill's affairs many Democrats would still defend him, just like they continue to support Biden despite his war crimes.

@rchusid and notice, not one of their attacks addresses the substance of the case even tangentially. Furthermore, Trump chose to present a case that was a tissue of lies a 4 year old would tell. He didn't sleep with her (the $140K was for what?) and of course he can't testify because he's lied about nearly everything. Meanwhile, they thought their defense of Michael Cohen is a bad man who lies would be enough. Faith in the Jury System restored.

@codeslubber The case against Trump was so strong and Trump has said so many stupid things leaving his attorneys little to defend him with. Their best hope was that the complexity of turning what would be misdemeanor charges into a felony due to his doing so to essentially commit election fraud would have stumped the jury. The jury clearly understood and convicted him.

@rchusid @codeslubber Lol, that jury would have convicted a banana if the NY court asked them to. What was he even convicted of anyway?
