@selea How do you do that? I mean: some things can't be done on older computers. Or did you update the OS? Which OS do you use?

@selea I'm sorry. Linux is a far dream for me now. I've tried it once, but didn't go back. The problem is that once you've choosen an OS, it's very difficult to go to another one. For games it might not make a big difference when you switch, but for professional users it's quite a hassle.

@PeterMotte > The problem is that once you've choosen an OS, it's very difficult to go to another one. It depends from person to person :)And yes, I would consider myself professional user. Not a hobbyist by any chance.

@selea I ask it, because with older Windows you can't do online banking anymore. It might depend on the bank, though. But that's why I ask: if a new Linux distribution appears, will older distributions be decleared obsolete for online banking?

@PeterMotte It is mostly dependent on the bank, and probably dependent on the browser? Here in Sweden, most people authenticate with something called "BankID" - located on the phone, which makes online banking hardware and software agnostic.Anyway, if your distro is End of Life - just upgrade. Most distros makes the upgrade/update part very easy and straight forward.

@selea Hmmm... I wonder whether a new distro would easily be installed on an older pc. The motherboards change, you know.

@PeterMotte Unless you use a 486 CPU from like - 95. You can install it on almost every machine out there, unless it has some very obscure hardware
