My son was the victim of a hit and run while on his motorcycle and was taken by ambulance to the hospital. He is injured but nothing life threatening. Sadly the hospital they took him too is horrible. Its the same hospital my MIL is in.

@Phil Prayers for you and your wife also.This must have scared the hell out of the two of you.Subject for later discussion number of hit and runs and high speed single car crashes, is it weed or the stuff it's laced with? There was a kid here killed by another kid driving 133 mph with his lights off in a 40 mile zone. Booze and pot in his system. Ton of drugs paraphernalia in his car.

@CONSERVATARIAN turns out the guy just smashed his foot between the bike and the car. He never even fell off the bike. He drove it to a parking lot his foot is badly bruised and requires many stitches. He has refused bunches of unnecessary treatments. They told him he couldn't refuse anything. He replied, well I'm gonna refuse that stuff anyway. Then they told him he had a cracked rib. They thought he was thrown from the bike, but a cracked rib is impossible. These people are crooks.

@Phil He's so lucky (sans that hospital he was brought to). Nothing they can do for a cracked rib anyway. (I've broken several).

@KarePatriot yes, I would be just fine never getting a call from a kid in an ambulance ever again. That being said, I'm very proud of him for standing up to them and refusing unnecessary tests and procedures and calling them on their bullshit. He's only 21 and its his first trip to a hospital since he was 7.

@Phillove&light for speedy and complete healing. I hope they catch the bastard that hit him! With all the security cameras "watching" these days, surely there footage of the dastardly deed. The dh is a motorcycle enthusiast although he doesn't ride near as much as he used to. At least his Harley is bright, safety orange and can be spotted from a mile away!

@Phil The call you never want to get. Thank God he's ok!!We got one of those from our son some Thanksgivings ago. He was being a good Samaritan & stepped in to help someone being assaulted. A roundhouse kick to the head got him concussed, his nose, jaw, and orbital bone broken. No arrests were ever made, but we believe Denver police knew it was Mexican nationals who had so injured him. Denver is a cesspool. Good thoughts for your boy!
