So, 10-year-old started learning how to convert things to scientific notation, and at first I was skeptical of what the point was, but it's surprisingly good for solidifying ideas about how to push exponents around.

@ZachWeinersmith it's also a nice path to familiarize oneself with the concept of orders of magnitude. And the basis for the floating point representation on computers.

@ZachWeinersmith plug for my weird long-division algorithm:Convert the dividend to the base of each of the divisor's prime factors then move the decimal point after conversion, then convert back to base 10.
