@stfn Perhaps something you've already thought of, but I've had great success using SyncThings to transfer stuff off my phone and onto a proper place. Now Termux and a bashscript does sound kind of easy to use 🙂 But still, Syncthings has done wonders to me getting stuff off my phone and into more permanent storage :-)

@stfn PS: Only now saw the comment about Syncthings ;)Great article. I've been quite keen on doing something similar so thanks for the tip and write-up! :-) Inspiring.(Over the past few months I've converted a number of services to self-hosting! Now I'm considering doing the same thing for email!)

@nopatience Thanks! I am also thinking about self-hosting email, mostly because I tried to use a commercial email provider when I wanted to host my own discourse instance, and making them work with me was an impossible task.
