@mos_8502 @revk guidance and best practice really I think of 100-150mm. I don’t actually recall any specific reg. The socket itself in min heights etc off the floor overall but I think clearance where it’s high enough up from the floor but a cabinet etc is beneath it… not so much. If there is someone can tell me which reg as it’s escaped me and I don’t see it in the pocket guide.

@VModifiedMind @mos_8502 @revkDon't have a copy myself but it seems it's BS 7671 553.1.6. Anybody?BS 7671 requires that a socket-outlet on a wall or similar structure is mounted at a sufficient height above the floor or any working surface to minimize the risk of mechanical damage to the socket-outlet or to an associated plug and flexible cord during insertion, use or withdrawal of the plug (Regulation 553.1.6 refers)https://electricalapprentice.co.uk/the-height-requirements-for-electrical-equipment-in-dwellings/

@VModifiedMind @mos_8502 @revk Just had access to a draft edition of 7671 and 553.1.6 is word-for-word as I quoted starting with “A socket-outlet…” and ending with “…or withdrawal of the plug.”So any 100 mm or 150 mm guidance is just that, guidance, not the actual regs. That's understandable as that regulation applies to all sockets, not just BS 1363 (e.g., IEC 60309 “commando” sockets), for which the appropriate dimension might be different.
