       I think that part of what I've enjoyed about the A-Team is that it has all the trappings of a show that would be very RA-RA POLICE ARE GOOD, MILITARY IS GOOD, etc. But the heroes are explicitly wanted fugitives on the run from a corrupt military, and often warring with, or at least confronting, corrupt police officers. ACAB, obviously, and they rarely pretend otherwise.

       @ajroach42 The movie podcast Kill James Bond ran into this more broadly, where if for some unexplainable reason everyone forgot what year 9/11 happened, future historians could take a pretty damn accurate guess based on when it became unacceptable in american films to criticize cops and the military

       @ajroach42 man i watched some show where they tried to get everyone from the original cast to some kind of gatheringthe guy who played Face had had some kind of cancer he overcame with dieting (!)guy who played the evil general chasing them was absolutely gobsmacked honored to be recognizedeveryone talked about what a dick george peppard was, especially the woman he basically blacklisted from the castpeppard hated mr t for being more popular than him, mr t was a good sport and ignored it

       @ajroach42 the only problem I had with the show -- and perhaps this is a uk perspective -- is that in every episode thousands of rounds of amunition were fired by all sides, that never hit anyone.

       @Longplay_Games I liked knightrider, but it had big "lone wolf" energy, which feels anti-solidarity.
