@foone @twylo every time i see someone doing the equivalent with an old radio/TV or a classic car i want to flip shit and throw them off a cliff. They're completely missing the entire point of why the stuff is worth caring about, and frankly if they can't be bothered to go through the "horrible" "slog" of not being hypermodern to understand why we CARE, then they don't deserve the real thing and should be damned with endless alibaba knockoffs.

@twylo I converted the keyboard of my Xerox820 to USB - by building a suitable converter (that runs into another converter that converts it to ADB ;-) - in any case, the hobby is fucked up now. I am still on an extended break from it, but I will pick it up again when the fighting has stopped, and the Fallout has settled.

@foone ugh I would love to invite people to instead become keyboard builders! Leave the vintage hardware alone and instead score a custom keyboard that is exactly what you want it to be.I want to build a nice split mechanical that looks like the neon shimmering on a rainy night. :3 @twylo
