       Who else remembers Metroid Prime 2's Spider Guardian? Been stuck on that boss literally for *years*. The boss itself is hard enough, since the Prime series' morph ball physics aren't amenable to classic 2D-style morph ball platforming, but the reall killer was the "Nintendo Hard" anti-rental padding: you drop down two different one-way cliffs, fight a somewhat tough enemy encounter, watch an unskippable cutscene, *then* fight the boss.        I'm playing around with Dolphin lately, so I figure, why not cheat just a little? So I back up my save file, copy it to my PC along with my legally obtained ROM (ripped from the disc), and boot up the game. Go through the enemy encounters and the cutscene, make my way to the boss room, take a save state right before starting the fight, and…Beat the darned thing on my first try.#VideoGames #Metroid #MetroidPrime2 #sigh
