Alrighty..! I think I got it all ready for the migration 🤔 - New server within local (mstdn) network- Setup new Mastodon server that's ready for a database importOn new server:- Smaller main server- Scalable volume for database- Scalable volume for search db- Scalable volume for extra backupsNow I'm waiting for a good moment to power down Mastodon, start backups and wait for that until that backup can be reimported on the new server via the volume!

While the new databse is importing, feed are rebuild and search is indexing I'm gonna edit the DNS and gen new certs for the new serverAlso while that is going upgrade the sidekiq servers to Glitch and change settings for new main serverWhen allll that is done the Glitch upgrade is getting added and i have to do some checks afterwards Soooo! It's gonna be a busy night

A few years ago this eas done and done within a few hours :flan_laugh: But nowadays I'm dealing with such massive databases for example and a looot more serversAlsoI have become as careful as I can since it's my baby :catblush:
