For those interested, the national grid ESO will be doing another DFS "test" event today. This one is unusual, there is no guaranteed acceptance price and a requirement for only a 200MW, about half a typical session and a little over 1/3rd of peak DFS "capacity". I suspect not all suppliers will get their bid accepted, and prices will be relatively low for those who do.

A very small ~160MW procured at an average of £1.89/kWh to the supplier (Octopus take 25%).Seems octopus have got a slightly better than average offer, they're offering £1.75 to the consumer. So, TLDR. Savings Session 5-6pm today, payout is better than a poke in the eye, but certainly not enough to sit in the dark for!

Turns out the didn't get a better rate, instead they decided to pass on 100% to the consumers. Which is rather nice of themAs predicted, a number of suppliers sitting this one out, including axel/givback
