What if we changed the rules so that if a US presidential candidate that supports arming Israel’s ongoing genocide of the Palestinian people wins, 15,000 American kids are randomly chosen and killed. (Unlike Palestinian kids, they’d be killed as painlessly as possible, not screaming in anguish from having been blown apart with American bombs.)What would you do? Still vote for Biden as is or move heaven and earth to have him change his policies or get the Democrats to pick another candidate?

@aral All of your options here are untenable. Obvs the Dems should pick someone else but that is not going to happen, and even if it did, the person they'd choose is guaranteed to be just as bad on this issue. Voting for him if he stops is meaningless as the damage is already done. That would just send the message that assisting genocide is cool, so long as you apologize later. If we can't break out of this political duopoly, we're f'd imnsho - stuck between the devil and the deep blue sea.

@dave So, (a) every life matters, yes. (b) the US has the world’s strongest military and is the only nation to have used atomic weapons against civilian populations, (c) if the US becomes a dictatorship, we all suffer. Imagine Nazi Germany but without America because America is Nazi Germany. I guess the only upside is at least we’re all speaking English already.So, yeah, I’d say don’t vote from Trump no matter what. Unless you’d have voted for Hitler, that is (and folks did).
