I'm also staring at the smoke detector right above my head and wondering whether they take into account that smoke detectors on these trains are potentially less than half a meter away from people's ears when they go offor whether they're just as loud as normal home smoke detectors (which would be: quite loud)

I didn't get a photo of them, but several pedestrian traffic lights had two figures instead of one, and they were either both featureless (read: male) or both with hair and a dress (read: female), holding hands and with a heart symbol between them, so I assume that's the intended interpretation ^^

oh, one last observation first. I didn’t notice this until yesterday afternoon, but: it seems weird that I didn’t see¹ any European Parliament election posters in either Tallinn or Stockholm, considering Berlin has had some for weeks (and by now they’re quite prominent, I saw tons on the way home this morning)¹ (I guess it’s possible that I saw some posters without realizing what they’re for, but generally the layout is recognizable even without speaking the language, isn’t it)

• night trains are pretty damn cool• couchette cars are fine• normal seats are absolutely not fine, avoid if at all possible• ferries are cool, cruiseferries apparently even more so• at least on big ferries I don’t need to worry about seasickness, not so much because I can handle the movement and more because it’s just not even perceptible (ship big)• traveling with other people is funnothing new there tbh but still good to confirm ^^
