The average player in the back of their mind are gonna be thinking "oh next game will be kalm through gold saucer shit we're not gonna get to the 2nd disc in at least 3 more parts WTF."In the original game midgar was the way the story gripped the player. The vibe of midgar was so entirely different from previous games and other RPGs. When midgar ended the game opened up and we were given a clear focus and mission. It didn't matter that other towns weren't as interesting, we didn't have to wait years to move to the next town and each town gets their own story arcs that develop the world of FF7.
