Considering that Norway has a population of only 5.5 million, it has a lot of hydroelectric plants. Many than Sweden, which has a population of 10.5 million. The reason is geography and climate. Lots of mountains and lots of rain. And there are no nuclear power plants.

@grant_h Our entire population is smaller than many cities. We tend to define places as cities when they have more than about 20k people living in them.

@grant_h We're used to a lot of personal space around here. Once you get up to a decent population density - such as in Oslo where I live - people start to get bothered by it.
