       unexpected #fountainpen day. certainly not a new pen...i was cleaning a TWSBI in the kitchen before changing ink, and my wife pulled this out of a drawer and handed it to me. it apparently belonged to one of her grandmothers. my dad had replaced the bladder and then it went in the drawer years ago. it's silver, with a tarnished gold nib. very much a pocket pen i wouldn't try to write with it unless posted.

       a thing i have found over the years is that people who know you collect certain things will just hand them to you. i have a bunch of old film cameras, various items from childhood stamp collections, watches, and now pens that came to me this way.
