       So I signed up for the waiting list on a promising sounding unified messaging app a while ago. (Trying to figure out how to get all possible incoming messages for my business without having to check a half dozen different apps to do it.)I got an email yesterday letting me know it was my turn to sign up! Super exciting! I went to sign up a bunch of messaging accounts, and read the welcome message in the account……only to discover that Automattic bought them. *sigh*

       Since I already ditched Wordpress because of their enthusiasm for AI, I immediately deleted all the connections and the whole account.And if anyone is wondering, it was Beeper. I just found out about them also buying ANOTHER universal messaging app (Texts) back in October.
