I’m facing some issues with getting more of my internal networks to use #IPv6.As soon as I have more than 2 networks attached with prefix delegation from the router (of course with different prefix IDs), the whole IPv6 collapses. In #OPNsense I saw a /62 IPv6 Prefix was delegated, and there is also a route to an unknown gateway.... strangeI could not find a MAC or something..Ping was very fast... did nmap..#HomeLab

53/tcp open domain5000/tcp open iphone-sync/tcp 7000 open afs3-fileserver7100/tcp open font-service49152/tcp open unknown49153/tcp open unknown62078/tcp open iphone-syncHmm looked like apple device. DNS via the device indeed worked.. I nmap all other devices in my network and compared results.. Finally I found it... the #AppleTV.I „think" it might be the #tailscale app installed on the device… will have a look. #IPv6 #OPNsense #HomeLab

Instead of doing nmap stuff I could have looked into the NDP Table (IPv6 to MAC Mapping) and find the MAC.I could then also look into the ARP Table (IPv4 to MAC).great learning! #AppleTV #IPv6 #OPNsense #HomeLab

also without tailscale the prefix gets delegated... not sure what the #AppleTV is trying to do..#tailscale #IPv6 #OPNsense #HomeLab

       Interesting. I will try turning of HomeKit and see what happens https://isc.sans.edu/diary/How+an+AppleTV+may+take+down+your+IPv6+network/30336 #AppleTV #tailscale #IPv6 #OPNsense #HomeLab

Okay, HomeKit can not be disabled. But I was wrong. There is no IPv6 overlap, which is good. Also good I learned something about the AppleTV.Search goes on, why IPv6 networks goes down sometimes…Thanks for listening. 😬 #AppleTV #tailscale #IPv6 #OPNsense #HomeLab
