@TransitBiker @alissaazar Promoting for and establishing worker-owned cooperatives and organizing on a community-based level to solve our societal problems instead of relying on an ineffective and uncaring government is a very realistic solution to many, if not all if our problems.

@Radical_EgoCom @janisf @alissaazar In the United States, according to the constitution and Declaration of Independence, we the people are the government. If everyone had the same amount of money to campaign with, you would sort out the unfit folks pretty quickly. The other half of the picture is accountability. We need to be able to more easily recall elected & appointed officials.The fact that our election structure is so rigid is a large part of the problem, alongside the money thing.

The Great Experiment isn't just seeing what works, but if it works at all.What's really bugging me is that a whole lot of young people think we got there once or more and we're trying to get that back. IMO, this moment is just one in a long, long string of perpetual battles in a pursuit equality.
