@Autumn I'd vote NYC being worse than Albany based on which city I'd rather spend any time in.

Albany checks out for me. All my memories of Albany are in either in the bus or the train station there and I won't EVER go back there. I once took a train route several hours out of my way just to avoid switching in Albany.

I remember one of the times I was waiting for my change of bus in Albany and there's no monitors or anything you just have to listen to the workers there announce which bus is coming, and of course each time I'd have to walk up to them to ask them what they just said because I do not understand their dialect. And of course the fact that I couldn't understand their dialect made them mad, even though I am very polite. So every time I went back up to ask them what the hell they just said they kept getting more and more angry, screaming, but it was the only way I could get home. Fucking Albany

@ryan @Autumn lived in Albany for a while (the nice part of it). Did the bar hopping thing there in my 20s. I didn't have to deal with either the bus or train. Midsized city is my limit I think. Hate NYC, been there for work, "fun", errands.... Not enjoyable at all for me. I'll still grab a beer in Albany from time to time though.

I like midsize cities too, spent most of my 20s in Rochester and that town treated me well
