IDK FAUSTIANS, MOVING TO WHERE THE MONEY IS DOESN'T SEEM LIKE SOME SORT OF RUGGED INDIVIDUALISM TRANSCENDING HOMEBODY RISK AVERSIONIT FEELS NIGGERISH, SHORTSIGHTED INSTEAD OF INVESTING IN A PLACE AND CONTROLLING IT AND MAKING THE PLACE VALUABLE, YOU JUST KIND OF HUNTER GATHER YOUR WAY THROUGH THE COUNTRY, NEVER BECOMING A POWER LARGER THAN ONE FAMILY AND THAT'S FOR AMERICA IN GENERAL

@nugger places are made valuable by communityWhat good is controlling and improving a place if there will never be a community for it

@Paultron WELL NOBODY IS GOING TO WILLFULLY AND DELIBERATELY MAKE ANY COMMUNITY BEYOND LIKE "THE LINUX COMMUNITY" TYPE OF CLUB/ORGANIZATION

@nugger I'm not sure it's a question of willI think people have actually lost the capacity for healthy group formation due to endless mkultra dopamine stimulation and simulation of a larger, pannational group herd through mass media

@nugger This one is dependent on where you're at imo. If you make a coordinated effort to migrate your extended family along with likeminded people to a new place, it's not hard to take over. Lots of religious groups like the Mormons do this, infamously. It just requires strong cohesion, the kind of cohesion and strength of purpose that many early American settlers had that allowed them to succeed in the first place. But if you can't count on that cohesion (and it's difficult to, today), hunkering down in a known territory is probably one of the more viable moves.
