@PopeASDF I always figured when I hit retirement age that I would get an RV and live in AZ, TX or FL when I retired. Unfortunately as I have gotten older I don’t really care for driving, can’t afford a decent RV, nor do I trust those states previously mentioned. I suspect I’ll die before retirement age so I pretty much put it out of my mind. I’m content with my radio hobby and tending to my large yard and I’m ok with that. I rarely socialize with friends since Covid and do other things.

@HopelessDemigod yah I’ve been trying to figure out how to get some waterfront land with enough room so I can drop my ground into the water and have a happy tower.

@gilesgoat @oh2cil @brouhaha @PopeASDF My life has pretty much revolved around radio and going into a retirement home or elderly apartment would pretty much ruin any remaining enjoyment. Until then it’s business as usual.

@HopelessDemigod @oh2cil @brouhaha @PopeASDF I seriously hope "to die at the keyboard" OR "in kinky ways I cannot mention" 😜 Honestly when I am not "working" .. I am still working on something, sure you may think "go around and visit the world when retired" but that's an utopia assuming you have LOT of money to spend. Better travel now when you are still younger and you MAY have some money. I really don't plan to "retire", I just hope I'll always make little money need to live 🙂

@HopelessDemigod @oh2cil @brouhaha @PopeASDF I guess it's complicated .. 10 acres of land you'll need a tractor, irrigation, fertilizers, some fencing, probably some security ( to avoid stuff getting stolen ) a small processing facility, not sure how you buy/how much it costs seeds ( is Monstanto in that too ??! ) and as it's USA probably some very weird laws to deal with too. Wonder if you need to deal with the "consortium" too about what/how much you can plant per year and such.

@PopeASDF @HopelessDemigod @oh2cil @brouhaha Maybe that's why here is still illegal .. if you could sell it I suppose at even 1/4 of what is sold in the illegal market you'd be filthy rich ! Is it THAT bad in USA now ? So cheap ? Or so hard to grow/too many taxes/too much hassle to sell it ?
