I have never had an ant problem until this year, and now EVERYWHERE on my property is like Los Antgeles. I've tried a bunch of sprays and I've tried the borax. It has no effect what do I do niggas :its_over_a:

I can't remember the name of the stuff but they have this stuff here that's like a thick syrup that the ant find irresistible, they drink it up and take it back to the nest, regurgitate it and it pretty much wipes them out. Not sure what it's called or if it's any good for the larger ecosystem. though, but I've a friend that swears by it. I'll let you know if the name springs to mind it is filed away in my brain somewhere.

Terro? That stuff is generally effective. It's pretty much sugar and borax. They eat it/bring it with them to their nests, then within 48 hours it dissolves their digestive tracts and they die a brutal metalocalypse death. But it doesn't work too well when you're dealing with millions of the fucken things.

Borax works for me. I make it extra watery so it doesn't turn into maple syrup and get all the ants stuck it in. They need to be able to get it back to the colony.A spoon of borax, a couple spoons of sugar, and about a cup of water.I had them in my kitchen, so I just poured it on the counter at night and cleaned it the next morning. First time, they came back after about a week. Second time, they've been gone for over a month.Never used it on the hills outside, but I'd pour some in a plate and leave it next to the ant hill, or just pour gas on them like Dad did.

Maybe, my brain is being a fucken retard. That does not sound good though and if you've already tried borax it seems an inferior substitute. They'll be coming for something, as someone else said. Maybe watch and see what it is they're after and ant proof it.

Not to overwork the point, but they will make long, winding single-file relays between their food and the colony. If you follow the line of ants, it'll be very clear what is attracting them. Removing that is the only way to get rid of this many ants. You can't kill them all.

I only ever see them going into the house. There are countless highways of them outside, all leading to the house. Going in through minute orifices in the brick, behind the drywall in my garage, in through the AC pipes, etc. I was out there the other day filling in any openings I could find, but I need to go out and get silicone or something because that expanding foam shit is a pain in the ass to apply. It's like trying to fill holes with marshmallow fluff.
