@Wolven Yes, exactly how it is. When the student protests that forced an election were going on in Montreal in 2012, it was so obvious that cops were suburbanites who hate the city, artists and anyone non-White (the most violent female cop, who was from a family of cops and White supremacists, eventually became so notorious she got fired).

@Wolven That's a good read on it. The rank-and-file, who are (largely) only there because they couldn't get the cushy jobs on LI or in Westchester or CT, live to punish the urbanites (all flavors) for their misfortunes.

@Wolven that’s Toronto too I think. Ontario leans conservative, our premier is Trumpian conservative type, Toronto just elected its most progressively left mayor, who has always been a standout activist who loves this city, lives in it, bikes in it, works on making really positive change. Last mayor was awful, conservative, and Toronto said no. Things were a mess.
